Capa at the Four Seasons Review
If you are looking for a restaurant to have a special meal in an intimate environment with some of the best food in central Florida, look no further than Capa at the Four Seasons. Capa is a michelin star restaurant, and after dining there we can definitely see why! This was by far our best meal on Disney property, even better than Victoria and Alberts which is saying something!
Before we get into our meal, let’s go over some basics. Capa is at the Four Seasons in Golden Oak, so yes, it is on Disney property. You can get there using ride share, or your own car, but I recommend giving yourself some extra time since they are very strict at the security gate to Golden Oak and it can take some time to get through.
Capa is a steakhouse, but has a fairly extensive Spanish inspired menu, so there is likely something for everyone. The restaurant is on the 17th floor of the resort, providing some amazing views out over central Florida. If you time your dinner right, or manage to have an extended three plus hour dinner like us, you can go out on the balcony to watch the Disney fireworks later in the evening. They do have outdoor seating as well, however being Florida it’s often a bit too hot to really enjoy being out there for a good portion of the year.
On certain evenings they even have a Spanish guitarist play, which we were lucky enough to be there for since it really did add that extra touch.
So now for our meal. We booked Capa to celebrate a birthday, and when booking they did ask if we would be there for any special occasion, which we told them we were. We arrived a bit early for dinner since we wanted to explore the resort a bit beforehand since we are staying there in the next year and wanted to get an idea of what to expect. The exploring didn’t take too much time, so we headed upstairs a bit early for dinner, but the hostesses were amazing graceful and were able to seat us right away.
This evening we were brought to a booth in the lounge, which we absolutely loved. The seats were on a slightly elevated platform against the back wall, and looked out over the restaurant towards the floor to ceiling windows for an amazing view. In addition, we were only a few tables from the guitarist, which we absolutely loved, he was so amazingly talented.
Our server this evening was fantastic, and amazingly patient with us since we wanted to try a lot of food, but didn’t want to order it all at once so we could gauge how full we were before ordering more. The one item we knew we absolutely wanted to try was the Wagyu Flight, but that would come a bit later in the meal.
Once seated we discussed our plan with our server, and he suggested ordering one or two small dishes, or tapas at at time, and he had no problem adding more items as the evening progressed. We loved the plan, so settled in to peruse the menu.
To start we decided to order some drinks to enjoy while figuring out our first course. I ordered the Buena Vista, which has jalapeno-infused tequila, citrus, torres magdala, salt air and dust fire. My friend ordered the Capa Gin and Tonic, which had gin, fever tree Mediterranean tonic (our favorite tonic!), gala apple, juniper, lime, and botanicals.

Soon we decided what we wanted to start with, we ordered the tomato salad at our servers recommendation, and the patatas bravas with the addition of chorizo. The chorizo addition wasn’t on the menu, but our server highly recommended adding it, so we went with his recommendation.
Ensalada Tomate
Patatas Bravas
We were absolutely blown away by these first two dishes. I didn’t expect much from the tomato salad being only tomatoes and cucumber with a dressing, but these were the freshest tasting tomatoes I have ever had, and the dressing was phenomenal! Now the patatas bravas I expected to love since it is one of my favorite tapas, and this one did not disappoint. The addition of the chorizo added an extra smokey layer to the flavor that really elevated the dish. We were off to an amazing start!
As we got close to finishing the first two dishes our server came around to see if we were ready to order something else. Just a side note, he was the most perfectly attentive waiter, he wasn’t hovering all night, but seemed to know exactly when we needed something and would just appear. The service here was top notch.
For our second round of food, we decided to try more of the tapas. This time we ordered the croquetas with jamón serrano, béchamel, and onion soubise, and also the datiles with medjool dates, almonds, bacon, and tamarind crème fraîche.
Croquetas and dates
These were both delicious, I preferred the dates slightly, but that’s probably because they were wrapped in bacon and, well, bacon is delicious!
At this point in the meal we were ready to order the main event, the wagyu flight. We decided to also order the wine pairing that goes with it. The wagyu flight comes with 5oz of American wagyu, 5oz of Australian wagyu, and then 3oz of Japanese wagyu.
Shortly after ordering, the sommelier arrived with our glasses and the three bottles of wine that went with the pairing this evening.
Wine flight
There was a cabernet sauvignon from Napa, a French Cote-Rotie, and red wine from Spain. The cabernet sauvignon was paired with the American wagyu, the Spanish wine paired with the Australian wagyu, and the French wine paired with the Japanese wagyu.
In addition to the wagyu flight, we ordered the maiz as well. The chef recommended getting the wagyu flight cooked to medium rare, and we went with their suggestion.

Maiz
The wagyu came with a trio of salts to sprinkle on if desired. We tried some, however I preferred the steak as prepared, I didn’t find it needed any additional seasoning.
Now for the wagyu. This was by far the best wagyu I’ve ever had, and was the first time I truly understood what people say when the steak “melts in your mouth.” I have never had steak like this before, even though I have had wagyu in the past. We tried to eat this as slowly as possible to make it last as long as we could, but it was hard!
The maiz we ordered was also delicious. I’m not usually a huge fan of maiz, but the way it was prepared here with the goat cheese gave it a bit of sweetness and a perfect complexity of flavors that I really enjoyed.
Along with our wagyu flight and the maiz, our server appeared with a surprise dish, the beet salad! Based on what we had ordered at that point, he thought we would really enjoy this salad as well so brought it to us on the house!
Beet Salad
What an amazing surprise! This was good, but by the time we got to eating it we were getting too full to really enjoy it.
By the time we wrapped up with everything we were stuffed, so turned down dessert. However, our server wasn’t don’t with surprises just yet! He decided to go ahead and bring us three different desserts on the house! He said he couldn’t decide which one he thought we’d like the most, so just brought all three out.
The desserts he brought for us were the churros, pastel de almendras, and the delicia exotica. These were all amazing, but so hard to finish it was just so much food!
Overall the meal lasted more than 3.5 hours, but we never once felt rushed, and the service the entire time was impeccable. We were there for the fireworks, however we were in the middle of the wagyu flight when they were happening, so decided to stay indoors to eat rather than watch from the balcony but we did have the option to go out an enjoy them if we wanted to.
Now for the cost. This is not an inexpensive meal, however it is significantly less expensive than Victoria and Alberts, and while similar experiences, I would say I preferred the experience at Capa slight more. Before tax and tip, it was around $525 for the two of us, but we did get four items on the house so it would have been a bit more if we had paid for everything we ate. Also, since our server was so amazing we gave a very large tip, so that did bring us a bit closer to what we paid at Victoria and Alberts!
As for the food, we could not believe how good everything was, and we really enjoyed the ability to make it kind of a progressive dinner where we just kept ordering as the night went on depending on what we felt like at that moment. We enjoyed it so much that we’re actually planning on going back two more times in the next few months to try more items and probably get some of that wagyu again since it was really that incredibly good!
I definitely recommend trying this place out at some point, it is a great place to go if you are celebrating something, but also a fantastic place to visit if you just want some really good food.
